There is certainly truth in humor and and the truth sometimes hurts doesn’t it?

I found this skit pretty funny because there was so much truth in it. The bar even closely resembles La Mariana on Sand Island Access Road.

The media in Hawaii has reported that this skit shows Hawaii in a negative light. (Has no one there seen “Dog the Bounty Hunter”?) and is insulting and distasteful to Hawaiians. But maybe bringing out the truth in a humorous way could bring attention the the plight of the local people of Hawaii.

Someone who had just spent their vacation at an expensive resort in Hawaii asked me how I could have ever left Hawaii. Really.
