I recently saw “Boy” directed by Taika Waititi. It takes place in the 1980s in rural New Zealand. It’s funny and warm and involves magic and Michael Jackson!

Waititi also directed “Eagle vs. Shark” so if you like that kind of humor crossed with a coming of age story like “Whale Rider”, you like this film.

It is now one of the top 3 highest grossing films in New Zealand.
