the Kaiser Menehune, Pele, Waimea
Having gone to Kaiser High School in Hawaii Kai, I was interested to see Kaiser’s prototype cars were called iconic Hawaii names: the Kaiser Menehune, the Kaiser Pele, and the Kaiser Waimea. The prototypes didn’t get past the drawing board.

Author as Illustrator and the Illustrator as...
Audrey Niffenegger, author of the The Time Traveler’s Wife and Her Fearful Symmetry, did some charming cover illustrations of Jane Austen’s Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility for Penguin Classics.

I’m sure this is one of the few fashion magazines that would feature a model (Tatiana Cotliar, photographed by Damon Heath) with her hands covering most of her face.
